When my friend moved house recently I made sure that I got my card to her in double-quick time. I’m well known in my circle for sending cards or notes for any and every occasion (call me old fashioned, it’s one of my ‘things’) and a new home is as good an occasion as any. My friend is a stylish lady so I created something that I thought she would like and made sure it was in the post box the day she moved so that it would (hopefully) be delivered the very next morning. Getting post at a new address is another of those little milestones we tick off along the way and I wanted Helena to have that moment as soon as possible. The move was pretty significant for her in that it was more than just a new house and a new address, it was a fresh start. We all know how important those are, don’t we.
Luckily, the postie did his job and delivered my card the very next morning and Helena was more than pleased with my card. When she rang me a couple of days later she said she loved the design and asked if I could use part of the design to make a batch of new address announcement cards for her. Of course I could. And I did. And from that initial project I’ve created a similar, simpler design for sale …
This ‘New Home’ card can be used to announce your own move or sent to congratulate someone else – just add your own message to the inside that has been left blank for you to decide.
And these postcards are to announce a new address:
Turn them over and add your new details:
These come with envelopes and are sold in sets of 10.
I’ve added both designs to my Etsy shop (click on the link on the right). I like their simplicity and crispness so you may see a similar theme used in other card designs or paper items in the near future…
Have a lovely weekend…

Terrific designs! We’re planning a move in the near future so I’ll know where to go for announcement cards.
Thanks, Mairead…I’m glad you like them! Let me know if I can help with your announcement cards…
